OLE KIRK X EUPHORIC SUMMER FILLY
Purchased from Lucas Bloodstock for
$240,000 with Clarke Bloodstock (FBAA)
at the 2026 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale
WHY WOULD YOU RACE THIS HORSE?
You don’t need to dig deep into this pedigree to understand why I moved decisively.
This is my second Ole Kirk filly purchase, and one I was particularly keen to secure, coming directly from the immediate family of dual Group 1 winner Stefi Magnetica.
By Ole Kirk - a sire I know intimately and continue to back with confidence - this filly is out of Euphoric Summer, the half-sister to Stefi. Euphoric Summer was an elite race mare in her own right: a tough, precocious two-year-old who won the Ballarat Magic Millions 2YO Classic and placed in both the Group 3 B J McLachlan Stakes and the Listed Debutant Stakes. That early speed and competitiveness pairs naturally with the durability Ole Kirk consistently imparts, giving this filly the scope to run at two and continue to develop at three.
Physically, she made a strong impression. She has one of the most fluent walks on the complex - a key factor in the decision - with excellent balance, presence and natural athleticism. There is good strength through her forearm, gaskin and hindquarter, along with length through her body, all pointing to a filly I expect to be sharp early while still having the capacity to train on.
Ole Kirk continues to produce high-quality fillies and colts capable of performing at the top level. I’ve seen this firsthand through the Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner O’ Ole, as well as his Group 1 success with Ole Dancer and the Coolmore Stud Stakes placegetter Legacy Bound. His current strike-rate of 7.2% stakes winners to runners reflects the depth and consistency of his progeny.
This is a filly that fits exactly what I look for: athletic, correct, and bred from a family I know better than most.
