If you’ve always wanted to race a horse with a blue-chip pedigree, but thought it might be out of your wheelhouse, we have found you not only a Zoustar filly, but a Zoustar filly out of a Group 1 winner. It’s not every day such a pedigree comes to market, as Zoustar x Group 1 winners are normally tightly held by breeders and owners, so to add in her purchase price of just $450,000 she becomes an opportunity you can’t miss.
Lot 330 - Zoustar needs no introduction as Australia’s leading sire with 7.4% stakes winners to runners, including top-class Group 1 winning fillies such as Zougotcha, Sunlight, Joliestar & Mizzy as well as our very own Group 1 winning stallion, Ozzmosis.
This filly is the first foal of the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes winning mare Graceful Girl. She is a close relation to three Group performers, including her Group 2 winning half-brother Respondent.
Her broodmare sire, Nicconi, is well-known as the sire of superstar sprinter Nature Strip but is also doing a tremendous job as a young broodmare sire. He has found success as the broodmare sire of Group 1 winner, Magic Time, and two Group 2 winners, Semana and King Kirk.
This gorgeous filly is also physically impressive. A neater-style filly, she is well-balanced, scopey, medium-sized filly who is light on her feet and carries herself with confidence and class.
